alright I am like, between paperworks and editing papers and trying to source like, safety regs for labs that are written in English not in OSHA MAGIC SPEAK (Clinto I hate you, hire a real safety expert, not "well Kyle and Darcy can handle it") (or pay me more) (pay Darcy more too) (hell lets give everyone a raise)
anyway
Top Five lists! Here's how this works for people who I haven't been like TOP FIVE GAME GO in the car with
People throw top five lists, I answer them, they answer them, other people answer them, if we go past 5 lists, someone else starts a new post so my email doesn't choke.

Date: 2017-08-08 02:25 am (UTC)1. That one guy when Angel had to be rescued where he thought he was all telekinetic badass and I was like "bring it." (lesson - even a total h2h guy like me can fight a teek if the teek's totally bad at strategy) (real lesson don't underestimate anyone's powers)
2. Sabertooth - lesson: DO NOT FIGHT THAT GUY (no seriously don't, he's insane)
3. Toad - lesson - find a guy's weakness. In toad's case, his ego. Also his knees.
4. Magneto - never fought the guy but like as far as villains go, he's powerful, he's got an ideology, he's SORT of got a moral code, he's got a great sense of style, he's got personal connections to people we know. I got no lesson for him I'm just saying.
5. Yelling dude who broke out of prison once. I forget what he called himself. Anyway, lesson there is know your OWN weaknesses. If you've got super senses, loud noises can mess you up bad.
(back at you, 5 bad guys from tv or movies that you can kinda understand where they might be coming from)

Date: 2017-08-09 04:32 pm (UTC)1) Maleficent - the whole movie's about how a villain has their own issues and reasons for doing what they do.
2) Moana - the monster who isn't really one. I loved that reveal.
3) The Magicians - Martin/The Beast. Not justifying anything he did, but you could see why he went the way he did. Being abused by his mentor and then being locked out of the only escape he had... no wonder he went nuts.
4) Arrival - the military guys who tried to blow up the spaceship. Totally understandable in a climate of fear and uncertainty, especially when they're trained to see all things that aren't normal as a threat.
5) Carrie - okay, killing everyone at prom is a pretty extreme reaction to bullying, but seriously, I get it. People without resources pushed past their limits and then given the chance for payback. It's a very human reaction, and not easy to ignore.
