Well, there's a whole conspiracy theory that says Shakespeare didn't even exist, that another playwright named Christopher Marlowe actually wrote all of "Shakespeare's" stuff.

Pretty much. I can see it now, Oliver Stone's next film is going to be all about how Shakespeare was really a secret group of guys sitting in the Tower of London making all sorts of secret plans about how to take over the world through playmaking. *chuckle*
