xp_wildchild: (here let me explain)
Okay, guys I don't know your handwriting because we type things because it is TOTALLY 2014 and I can't actually figure out which one of you left me the note asking about "your mom" jokes in Shakespeare, and NO before anyone asks I am totally not going to smell it to find out because that is hells creepy.

Yes, there's a your mom joke in Titus Andronicus. No, we're not reading that one in any of my classes because while it is his first tragedy, it is also totally basically him writing the same violent revenge plays everyone else was, and it's kinda creepy and SERIOUSLY like just effed up stuff happens in that play. You will totally just have to read it on your own to find out why, but I don't like, recommend eating before, and seriously expect to be bummed OUT after.

Anyway yes, this also means that it's Shakespeare month, suck it up. None of it's gonna kill you, ima not gonna make anyone read it out loud unless they want to, and we will totally be mostly using modern language versions and it means all you get at least one movie day in class because this stuff is meant to be watched and listened to and not just read.

(and Kenneth Branagh's Henry V is a cinematic masterwork and I will seriously put anyone who argues with me into a headlock)
