They should do it earlier. 3rd OT, add a puck. 5th OT make the backup goalies replace a forward on each team (in full goalie gear but replace the catching mitt with a regular hockey glove so they can properly play the spoiler role). 7th OT ANOTHER PUCK. 9th OT (assuming the actual goalies haven't passed out from sheer exhaustion and dehydration) take another skater (NOT the backup goalie) out. If it makes it past 9th OT the first team to steal the cup wins.
